There are many things to do while staying in our cabins. Enjoy local swimming, fishing, and boating on Carlyle Lake, as well as the hiking and biking locations around the lake. There are a number of places for family picnics and get togethers, as well as plenty of local restaurants and retailers to accommodate your needs.

About Carlyle Lake
Carlyle lake is the largest man-made lake in Illinois. It has more than 26,000 acres of water and 11,000 acreas of land. It is located just 50 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri. It has a shoreline of approximately 82 miles. It is 3-4 miles wide and 15 miles long. Maximum depth is 35 feet.

You can go fishing for bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, walleye, or more than 30 other species. Each year, the Illinois High School Bass Fishing Tournament is held at Carlyle Lake.
